FCL Builders, Inc. expanded and remodeled their facility in Itasca, Illinois. To celebrate, an event was planned to showcase the completed project to clients and employees alike. The client's vision was to welcome the approximately 300 guests to an escape on an island paradise!

1. Action-sensitive timeline. Certain steps for setup could not be completed until other steps were accomplished
2. Not disturbing the employees from their daily duties while setting up for a 300 person event right outside their door
3. Creating the “atmosphere” of an island in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago

Results

The guests danced the night away enjoying their tropical drinks and feeling the rhythm of the wonderful tunes. Many memories were created and the new building was welcomed in style.

This event was judged by peers in the Special Events Industry and was a finalist for the 2008 NICE Award in the “Best Off-Premise Catered Event Under $10,000” category.
