After the economy tanked in 2008, B. Samuel Ko, president and owner of Philos Technologies Inc. in Wheeling found it easier to get his loan restructured with a local suburban bank. The larger banks just weren’t as accommodating, he said. He wanted to expand his business by including exports to stay viable during such a tough time. He found that a local bank, where he had a long relationship, made the process easier.
